Restrictions imposed on all cities in the district during Unlock-3

Deputy Commissioner Bathinda Mr. B Srinivasan has issued orders to impose additional restrictions in the district till further orders in view of the increasing cases of covid-19.He said that as per the guidelines issued by the Punjab government, it was necessary to impose additional restrictions on certain activities in urban areas due to the sudden increase in the number of covid-19 cases.Accordingly, from August 18 till further orders, additional restrictions will be imposed within the municipal limits of all the cities in the district.

                As per the orders issued by the Deputy Commissioner, the movement of persons for all non-essential activities would be restricted from 9.00 pm to 5 am within the municipal limits of all the cities of the district.However, the operation of multiple shifts, the movement of persons and essentials on national and state highways and the unloading of luggage and the movement of persons after buses, trains and planes will be allowed.Similarly industries running in 2-3 shifts will also remain open.He further said in the orders that restaurants, hotels and other hospitality units would remain open till 8.30 pm.

                 In addition, shops and shopping malls will remain open until 8 p.m. Restaurants / hotels and liquor stores located in shopping malls will be open till 8.30 pm.Apart from those trading in essential items and shopping malls across the district, the shops would remain closed on Sunday as per the instructions of 31.07.2020.The Deputy Commissioner appealed to the residents of the district to avoid unnecessary travel on Saturdays and Sundays as well.
