Sunday night curfew lifted in the district in view of covid-19
The lockdown will continue till October 31 in the containment zones
No time constraints on opening shops, restaurants, hotels, liquor contracts outside containment zones

Disclosing this here today District Magistrate B Srinivasan said that as per the guidelines of Punjab Government, curfew has been lifted on Sunday and night on the last day of the week in view of COVID-19 in the district However, the time limit imposed on shops, restaurants, hotels, liquor contracts etc. in areas outside the containment zones has also been abolished due to COVID-19.
Apart from this, gathering of 100 persons for social, academic, sports, recreational, cultural and political programs outside the Containment Zones will also be allowed but the guidelines issued by the Department of Health and Family Welfare will be followed. Up to 100 people will also be allowed to gather for weddings and funerals.
As per the new orders enacted by the District Magistrate, there is no restriction on all private vehicles including buses with open windows / windows provided that the passengers are wearing masks while the instructions issued by the Union Home Ministry on September 30, 2020 regarding Covid-19 Will be followed within the district
As per the instructions issued by the District Magistrate, trains, domestic passenger flights, air transport will be allowed under SOPs.
